It is not clear what the object was or why it fell from the sky on Saturday, but the sight of it has sparked feverish speculation among viewers who watched the video that it could be anything from a bird to a UFO.
The footage was captured by Meghan Taylor, who was recording a storm in the historic market town last weekend.
