Easter Sunday, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a religious festival which is held to mark the day on which Jesus was resurrected from the dead. The miraculous event is described in the Bible as occurring on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary, which is today marked by Good Friday.
